Welcome to our home Ma'Khaya Guest House is situated in the leafy suburb of Johannesburg's trendy Melville. With five stylish en-suite rooms and one self- catering unit, all exquisitely decorated, this home away from home is safe and ideal for business people and tourists alike ….. Close to highways, Universities, large shopping centers, popular tourist attractions and business districts, Ma'Khaya can be used as a convenient base for any guest staying in Johannesburg - while safe, off-street parking is available. With staff on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week, guests may check in at any time of the day or night. ACCOMMODATION Ma'Khaya (my home) offers five beautifully appointed double en-suite rooms, including one self-catering unit. With an eclectic Afro-chic theme each room embodies the charm of Africa. Set in well manicured gardens, rooms have their own private patios that look out over pockets of green, many of which have tranquil water features. Our outdoor Jacuzzi is ideal to unwind in and to rejuvenate the soul after a long day. Ma'Khaya's staff takes pride in ensuring your stay is a memorable one and all facilities are kept spotlessly clean. Breakfasts are a delight, especially with the mouth-watering homemade bread that is baked daily. Lunch and dinners are also available on request, while a traditional South African braai (barbeque) can also be arranged. Two rooms boast luxurious spa baths, while all rooms have mini-fridges, tea and coffee stations, satellite TV and hairdryers. The entire guest house is Wi-Fi connected and in the event of power outages, Ma'Khaya has a backup generator which immediately kicks in and provides a full electricity supply. SAFETY & SECURITY Ma'Khaya prides itself in caring for its guests and all precautions are taken to make it a happy, memorable and safe stay. Each room has its own safe which guests may use to lock away their valuable possessions and documents. Airport transfers, local tours and extended tours can be arranged by our staff and only our most trusted partners are used for such excursions. ACTIVITIES & ATTRACTIONS For guests, there are a number of exciting attractions in Johannesburg that include the nearby botanical gardens, Johannesburg Zoo, art galleries, casinos, Sunday markets and museums. Ma'Khaya is more than willing to help arrange safe tours to attractions such as the world famous Soweto Township and Vilakazi Street - home to two Nobel Peace Prize laureates - Nelson Mandela and Arch-Bishop Desmond Tutu. Other activities such as golfing, hiking, cycling, safaris etc can also be arranged as well as fabulous day spa treatments.
